Herring Printing Company was started in 1964 by Joe and Pat Herring. Their first print shop was on the ground floor of the historic Tivy Hotel on Tivy Street in Kerrville.
In 1965 they purchased the Hunter Printing Company, which originally took up two rooms at 615 Water Street in beautiful downtown Kerrville. Over the decades they purchased adjoining property and added on to the building, and today the plant occupies a 9,000 square foot building. It was truly a family business from the very beginning, with both of the Herring's children working at the print shop. The Herring's daughter, Judy, has worked full-time at the print shop since the 1970s, and their son Joe, Jr. has worked at the company since 1985.
Today a third generation of the family is active in the business, with Joe III joining the company in 2014.
Over the years the Herring family hired the best crews, bought the best equipment, and used the finest materials to become Kerr County's best and most-awarded printer. The company has won national, state, and local awards for quality. In 2013 the company sold to Judy Alexander and Joe Herring Jr., children of the founders. Since 1964 Herring Printing Company has focused on producing the finest quality printing at a competitive and fair price. We'd like to be your printers!
